A gathering will take place at Holmcroft Park in Stafford this Saturday in memory of Brodan Dubickas.

The event has been organised by Candy Allman, with consent from Brodan’s mum, Lindsey, and his grandad.
People are being invited to come together to remember Brodan and support his family, friends and the wider community following his tragic death.
When and where is the gathering?
The gathering will take place on:
Saturday 9 May
Holmcroft Park, Stafford
From around 7pm
People are being asked to gather near the slide area between 7pm and 7.15pm.
The main moment of silence will take place at 7.33pm, the time of Brodan’s passing.
What will happen?
Those attending are being asked to bring a candle or tea light, if they can.
At 7.33pm, there will be a two-minute and 40-second silence while “You’ll Never Walk Alone” is played.
The silence will be followed by a poem.
Candy has said she will also play some of Brodan’s favourite music, along with other songs chosen to remember him.
Candles have also been donated by the Co-op, with support from manager Sophie and Vicar Elaine Evans, so there will be some spare candles available for anyone who forgets to bring one.
Parking information
Parking will be available at Sir Graham Balfour School.
The top gates will be open so people can walk across to the park.
Donations
Candy has said there will be a bucket available for anyone who would like to make a donation.
The money will go to Brodan’s family before the GoFundMe funds are released.
Photography and privacy
A photographer, Paul Milgate-Scarrott, will be at the gathering to take photographs for Brodan’s family.
Paul is known locally for his volunteer work with charities and has said he feels humbled to help the family at such a sad time.
Those attending are being asked to be respectful when taking or sharing photos. People are also being asked not to take photos of Brodan’s family, so they can grieve privately and have their own space.
Paul has asked that people allow the family to review and share his photographs first before others post pictures from the gathering on social media.
A chance to stand together
Candy said she is organising the gathering for her friend Lindsey and the family.
She has asked people to share the details and hopes many will attend to help fill the park with light in Brodan’s memory.
The message from organisers is simple:
Let’s stand together for Brodan.
