Vehicle fire closes M6 Junction 14 northbound exit near Stafford

A vehicle fire closed the northbound exit slip road at Junction 14 of the M6 near Stafford this morning.

The closure was first reported at around 5.30am today (16 June).


Staffordshire Road Crime Team posted on Facebook at around that time to say the M6 Junction 14 northbound exit was closed due to a vehicle fire.


Drivers were advised to consider other routes into Stafford, including using Junction 13 or Junction 15 and then the A34.

As of 7.50am, one lane of the exit slip road remained closed while repair works were being carried out.


Drivers heading into Stafford from the M6 are being advised to allow extra time and check traffic updates before travelling.
