Olympic swimmer James Guy will officially open a new swim school in Stafford later this month.
Swimwell has opened a new purpose-built swimming facility at Kingsmead Retail Park, Stafford, with its first lessons starting on Saturday 30 May 2026.

The swim school will hold a grand opening open day on Saturday 13 June from 2pm to 5pm.
James Guy, an Olympic medallist, is due to attend from 2pm to 4pm. Visitors will have the chance to meet him, take photographs and get autographs.
The open day will also include artistic swimming demonstrations, Rookie Lifesaving activities, a tour of the new facility and a chance to meet the Swimwell team.
Swimwell said the new pool has been created to help more people learn to swim and stay safe around water.
The company was founded on 4 June 2014. It said it began with a small amount of swimming equipment and the hire of a small pool, before growing into its new Stafford facility.
The new centre will also host two special launch sessions for young swimmers. There are 40 spaces available across the sessions, which are open to swimmers aged eight and above who can swim at least 25 metres on both their front and back.
Children can choose between an Artistic Swimming Experience, led by a former British Championship artistic swimmer, and the Rookie Lifeguard Squad, which focuses on water safety and lifesaving skills.
