More than 100 live vacancies will be available at a jobs fair taking place in Stafford this month, with local employers and careers support brought together under one roof. The Summer 2026 Journey to Work Expo will be held at Stafford College’s Skills & Innovation Centre on Friday 17 July.

The event is being hosted by Stafford MP Leigh Ingham and is aimed at helping young people and other jobseekers find out what work opportunities are available locally. It is also designed to give people the chance to speak directly with employers, access careers support and find out more about possible routes into work.

Leigh Ingham said the event will also include on-the-day interviews, giving jobseekers the chance to speak to employers and potentially take the next step towards work.

Support for jobseekers

The expo is co-organised with Stafford JobCentre Plus and builds on last year’s jobs fair, which attracted hundreds of jobseekers and 31 employers.

This year’s event is expected to include an interactive programme, with workshops and careers talks alongside the chance to meet employers face-to-face. The format means visitors can look at current job vacancies while also getting advice on next steps, applications and career options.

How to attend

People who want to attend must sign up in advance. The registration form asks for basic contact details and notes that photos and videos may be taken at the event.

Anyone attending who does not want to be included in photos or videos can tell staff at registration.
